So we intend to deliver the goods, at every step along the way.
You might say Gary Jesch was born to be a broadcaster. You might even say that he is a modern day “Wizard of Oz,” performing on a “virtual” stage, while hidden away behind a curtain, telling stories and conducting interviews. And both of these descriptions are accurate. CREATIVE JOURNALIST The truth is that from his days in college, Gary has worked with a camera, microphone and keyboard in front of him, a storyteller who helps others tell their stories, via radio, TV, live events, tradeshows and on the Web. Along the way, he’s found himself “outside the box,” as a creative artist who has pioneered the art of performance animation. ENTREPRENEUR He’s navigated the seas of entrepreneurship for more than 30 years, with the past 18 years as a marketer and performer of live animation who serves the corporate tradeshow, meeting and special events industries by attracting attention to tradeshow booths and bringing interactive 3D characters to shows. On this path, he’s absorbed a great deal about how marketing and sales works in very large companies, but he’s learned even more about the power of presentations and storytelling that motivates and inspires, and how to transform both physical and online meetings with his gift. Additonally, he's a noted audio-visual technician with a skill set that resembles a Swiss Army knife, who has contacts in the A/V business all around the country. PRESENTER AND PERFORMER Gary wears all the hats as skipper of GNJ Worldwide, Inc, and its two business units – CHOPS & Assoc. Live Animation and Console Call. He now develops his own webinars where he interviews thought-leaders and helps hosts of online meetings master the complexities of their presentations. At tradeshows and corporate meetings, he sparks curiosity in the minds of his audiences when he appears as CHOPS (Cyber Human on a Performance System), an interactive computer-generated avatar who talks with people in real time. Gary’s love for the business shows when he combines his passion for performing with staging and computer skills he’s acquired over the years to entertain children and engage adults in business. His dedication to a better experience for both speaker and audience always shows, and there is abundant humor, laughter and fun times in the process. PAST WORK Gary’s work with meeting planners, tradeshow event managers, and Fortune 500 corporate clients took him on the road for about 15 years, to China, the Philippines, South America, Mexico, Europe and all over the US. In 2008, he designed and installed two of his Digital Puppeteer ™ systems in Family Entertainment Centers – one in central California and one at the Mall of Asia in the Philippines. His greatest adventure in live animation was realized in 2008, when he created a custom cartoon character and performed for Disney Event Group in Orlando. He’s also done shows for Dreamworks, ExxonMobile, Proctor & Gamble, Panasonic and dozens more. CREATION OF CONSOLE CALL Console Call was born in 2009, when Gary realized his abilities were also valued in the online meeting space – not only for live performing, but also his talents for organizing and developing webinar events. While creating the company, he partnered with platform providers and learned more about content marketing, customer relations and website development, to a point where he can also serve his clients as an expert advisor when needed. A growing number of CHOPS customers now rely on him for help with their online meetings, and he can perform CHOPS online via webcam. HIS GOALS Gary has other goals for his businesses. Someday, he says, people will enjoy the faces and interactions of his virtual characters coming from computer systems that are completely automated, relying on artificial intelligence to replace the human actor behind the scenes. In the online meeting department, he’s planning service innovations that improve webinars, webcasts and virtual events and how hosts prepare for them. ALL ABOARD Gary runs with the wind on his 18-foot catamaran in the summer on the waters of Lake Tahoe near his home in Carson City, NV. He’s worked in his sweats and shorts from his home office since 1981. He likes to get his friends to meet him via webcam, where he shows up as one of his favorite characters. It’s easy to ask Gary for an online visit with CHOPS or some of the dozens of characters he’s created over the years, via his website at www.chops.com. He’s known for actually answering his phone. Try it - and he’ll even pay for the call – 888-766-6677. |
